Durham’s flagship sports facility, Durham Stadium is an 8,500-seat multi-purpose stadium located in Durham County, North Carolina. In 2019, Durham County Memorial Stadium made considerable improvements to the track facilities at the stadium. The track and javelin runway has been resurfaced with a Beynon BS2000RE encapsulated surface and a combination hammer-discus cage has been installed. The stadium has been the host to events put on by local, regional and national organizations including USATF – Youth National Committee, USATF – North Carolina, Big Eight Athletic Conference, Powerade State Games, North Carolina Senior Games and other local club events.
