Mecklenburg County Sportsplex

The sprawling 175-acre athletic complex is known for hosting many of the best regional and national tournaments and events for all ages and abilities. Within the complex, there are three tournament areas composed of nine multipurpose synthetic turf fields and two grass fields. The venue’s size, versatility, and conditioning has much to do with the acclaim. The Sportsplex’s ability to welcome everything from intense battles of lacrosse to soccer, rugby, football, field hockey and more means nearly every kind of sporting event is suited for play here. On the northside of the property, you will find the impressive 5,000-seat grass stadium providing memorable fan experiences for all who come to see their favorite teams and players. The stadium includes a large digital video board, press box, conference room, VIP deck, spacious locker rooms, and more. Events hosted at the stadium include professional soccer leagues, high school football showcases, NCAA soccer championships, NCAA lacrosse games, and collegiate rugby matches. The complex has added amenities including paved walking trails, picnic shelters and playgrounds throughout the park. With the proximity to downtown Charlotte and many local eateries and retail stores, guests can find entertainment throughout the area before and after the game clock has expired.
